The Weeknd ends five-night Wembley run and raises more than $350,000 for charity

The Weeknd has finished a five-night sold-out run at Wembley Stadium, capping a UK leg of the After Hours Til Dawn tour that also included two shows at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium in June, according to NME.

Across the seven concerts, more than 450,000 fans attended, with ticket buyers coming from nearly 150 countries. The shows also raised more than $350,000 for charity.

According to NME, £1 from each UK ticket sold was donated to the United Nations World Food Programme and Global Citizen, while €1 from every ticket sold in Europe also went to the causes. The money will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and The Weeknd’s XO Humanitarian Fund, which aids the World Food Programme’s response to global hunger.

The final Wembley show took place Wednesday night, August 19. The tour continues this weekend with two dates at Dublin’s Croke Park before moving on to Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon, with an Asian leg scheduled later this year.
