The first teaser for HBO Max’s The Pitt shows Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch returning to the emergency room after his months-long break, according to E! News. The preview also confirms the drama will be back in January 2027.
The sneak peek shifts focus to the night crew, led by Dr. Jack Abbot, as they take over for another busy 12-hour shift. In the teaser, Dr. Shen notices Robby’s name on the schedule and asks whether he is finally back.
Robby is then shown riding an elevator inside Pittsburgh’s Trauma Medical Hospital, dressed in his gray hoodie, after his motorcycle trip across the U.S. and Canada. Dana Evans greets him with a joke, but the teaser makes clear that he is having trouble adjusting to the pressure of the ER again.
Season three will also feature Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi, Dr. Cassie McKay, Dr. Frank Langdon, Dr. Melissa King, Dr. Trinity Santos, Dr. Dennis Whitaker and Dr. Victoria Javadi, according to the report. Supriya Ganesh’s character, Dr. Samira Mohan, will not return, while Dr. Parker Ellis has been upgraded to a series regular.
