The Game released his new album, The Documentary III, on Thursday night, according to Rolling Stone. The 24-track project includes features from Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ye, YG, Black Thought, Larry June and others.
One of the album’s most notable moments is a collaboration with Drake on the song “No Brakes.” Drake handles the hook on the track, but does not rap a verse.
Rolling Stone reports that the album also appears to reflect long-running tension between Game and Kendrick Lamar. The two were once publicly aligned, but their relationship has seemed strained in recent years, according to the publication.
The release comes during a more active stretch for Game. Earlier this year, he put out Gangsta Grillz: E.M.N.T. — The Credits, and The Documentary III is his first studio album since 2022’s Drillmatic — Heart vs. Mind. It is also his first entry in the Documentary series since 2015.
