The Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants will not air on The CW this year after the network pulled both broadcasts from its schedule just one week before the planned events, according to E! News.
In a statement to E! News on Aug. 21, The CW said it decided to skip next week’s broadcasts after discussions with the Miss USA Organization. The network did not give a specific reason for ending the telecasts.
The Miss USA Organization said in an Aug. 20 Instagram Story that the change stemmed from a contractual issue tied to production arrangements that could not be resolved in time. It added that efforts were made to find a way to keep a live broadcast on The CW, but the two sides were unable to agree on terms for this year’s event.
Instead, both the 2026 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions will stream on Queen Beauty Network. The organization said it remains grateful for its relationship with The CW and open to future collaboration.
This is the second year in a row that The CW has chosen not to air Miss USA. Last year’s Miss USA pageant, which crowned Audrey Eckert of Nebraska, aired on Queen Beauty Network instead.
