Rosalía surprised fans in Monterrey, Mexico, by singing the opening of Bad Bunny’s “Safaera” while pouring herself a tequila shot, according to NME.
The moment happened on Wednesday, August 19, during her show at Arena Monterrey as part of her current “Lux” world tour. Rosalía usually drinks white wine before performing “Sauvignon Blanc,” but on this night she reached for tequila instead.
As she prepared the shot at her grand piano, she began singing the start of “Safaera” a cappella. The audience quickly joined in, creating an impromptu singalong.
“Safaera” originally appeared on Bad Bunny’s 2020 album “YHLQMDLG” and features Jowell & Randy and Ñengo Flow. Rosalía and Bad Bunny also worked together on “La Noche De Anoche,” which was released on his 2020 album “El Último Tour Del Mundo.”
Rosalía is touring in support of her fourth studio album, “Lux,” which was released last November.
