A new free app called Seen Live has launched, giving music fans a way to rate DJ sets, festivals and live shows, according to NME.
The app is being described as a “Letterboxd for clubbing” because it lets users keep a record of the gigs and club nights they have attended. People can search for past and upcoming events, give performances up to five stars, upload photos and videos, and build a timeline of their live music activity.
Seen Live also includes social features that allow users to follow friends and other music fans, browse popular performances and discover new artists, DJs and venues through community reviews.
The app was created by Jordan Taylor, founder of the club culture platform Tough Luck. Taylor told Mixmag that he built it because he struggled to remember many of the artists and DJs he had seen, and wanted a single place to archive every show and share night-out experiences.
Seen Live is currently available on Apple’s App Store for iPhone and iPad. An Android version has not been released.
