Jen Affleck says she and husband Zac Affleck have been working through several difficult changes behind the scenes. In an interview with People on Aug. 20, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star said the last few months have been a lot, but that she feels like she is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
According to E! News, the couple has been managing Jen’s pregnancy with their fourth child while also moving from Utah to California for filming on the spinoff Mormon Wives: Orange County. Jen said she learned she was pregnant during the move and described her first trimester as especially hard because she felt very sick.
Jen also said she dealt with prenatal depression and shared that she could not always be present for her children during that time. She credited Zac with stepping in to help at home, saying she would not have made it through the first trimester without him.
In addition, Jen said she had a wisdom tooth infection that required medical attention. Despite the challenges, she said she hopes her experience can relate to other women and that if even one person benefits from her sharing, it is worth it.
