Parents, caregivers and community members in Maricopa will have a chance Thursday evening to learn more about teen and young adult mental health at a free workshop, according to InMaricopa.
The event is being hosted by Molina Healthcare of Arizona and Maricopa Unified School District from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 in the MUSD District Office Board Room at 44150 W. Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.
Durel Williams, who serves as vice president of Mental Health America of Arizona, a youth and family behavioral coach at Free Life Wellness Center and founder of Beautiful Wounds Inc., will lead the workshop.
According to InMaricopa, the session will focus on how caregivers can recognize mental health concerns, support young people who are facing them and build healthy habits that encourage wellness. It is part of the 2026-27 Parent University series.
Dinner will be provided to the first 50 people to arrive, and attendees will also be entered for a chance to win two tickets to a Cardinals-Seahawks game.
