Buckcherry says its tour bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash early Friday morning on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, while the band was on the road for its Roar Like Thunder Tour.
In a statement shared on social media, the band said its members and touring crew were not injured. According to the group, authorities confirmed that the collision that happened ahead of the bus led to a fatality.
The band said it was sending condolences to the family and loved ones of the person who died. No additional details about the crash or the identity of the victim were released.
Rolling Stone reports that Buckcherry’s Friday performance at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is still expected to take place as scheduled, and there are no other changes to the tour plan.
