Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will take a year off in 2027, according to organizers who posted the update on social media. The festival has traditionally been held every June in Manchester, Tennessee since 2002.
In its statement, Bonnaroo said the decision was not easy, but that the pause would ultimately help the event. Organizers told fans they hope the break will leave the festival stronger in the future.
Fans had already been noticing that 2027 dates had not been announced, even though Bonnaroo has often shared its next-year schedule early. C3 Presents, which is owned by Live Nation, produces and operates the festival.
The festival has dealt with weather problems in recent years, including a canceled 2020 event because of COVID-19, a move of the 2021 festival to September before Hurricane Ida led to another cancellation, and heavy rain that cut short part of the 2025 edition. After this year’s event, Bonnaroo said the Farm needs time to rest and recover after storms and recent infrastructure work.
