Maricopa Councilmember Bob Marsh says Vince Manfredi should be re-elected to City Council, citing his work on transportation planning and road projects in the city.
In a letter to the editor published by InMaricopa, Marsh said council members typically focus on issues that match their background and experience. He said his own work centers on senior services and water-related matters, while Manfredi has concentrated on roads, parkways and highways.
Marsh wrote that Manfredi has spent years attending regional and state transportation meetings and has built relationships with key people involved in those discussions. He also said Manfredi played a significant role in planning and funding the widening projects on SR 347.
According to Marsh, Maricopa still needs Manfredi’s experience and persistence to advance future transportation goals, including completing the Sonoran Desert Parkway, adding loop roads north of the city limits, and improving connections to I-10, Sacaton, Florence and the Loop 202.
