A+ Charter Schools is preparing for another year of growth as it heads into the new school year, according to InMaricopa. The project-based learning school serves students in grades 6 through 12.
The school says it is adding two modular buildings to its campus, with both expected to open in October. A permanent expansion is also in the early planning stages for 2027.
Enrollment is still open for the coming school year, and the school says it has especially strong availability for incoming sixth graders. Some grade levels do already have waitlists, according to the report.
One of the biggest additions this year is the launch of a SmartLab for sixth grade science classes. The hands-on STEM space will give students access to activities such as robotics, coding, engineering design and digital fabrication as they work through project-based learning.
A+ Charter Schools said the SmartLab is meant to support the school’s focus on collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity and character. Families can contact the school for enrollment or SmartLab questions at 520-265-5589 or visit APlusAZ.org, according to InMaricopa.
